Research at IMO
The Institute of Management and Organisation (IMO) boasts international leadership in the study of organisations and of the decisions of their principal actors within a social context.
The primary areas of specialization of the Institute are the following (in alphabetic order) and can be described as:
- Corporate organization
- Economic sociology, status, and categories
- Entrepreneurship and governance of family businesses
- Humanitarian operations and sustainable development goals
- Managerial decision-making
Research methods utilized include experiments, statistical analysis of data, and simulations. In these areas of specialization, members of the IMO have become distinguished through obtaining several SNF grants in support of the development of their own research projects, serving important institutional roles in their respective communities, and sitting on the boards of prestigious international journals.
